Overview

AnHeart is a Phase 0/2 clinical trial testing a drug called safusidenib in people with IDH-mutant glioma.

The study aims to understand how safe the drug is, how well it is tolerated, and how it affects the tumour when given for a short period before surgery.

How the trial works

Participants take the study drug before planned tumour surgery.

Researchers study how the drug moves through the body and analyse tumour samples to:

• Understand how the drug reaches the tumour
• Assess its effect on tumour cells
• Look for early signs of tumour response

This perioperative design allows researchers to study treatment effects directly in the tumour.

Who may be eligible

This study may be suitable for people who:

• Have a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of IDH-mutant glioma
• Have not received prior radiation or chemotherapy
• Are planned for tumour surgery
• Are otherwise well and able to take part in study visits
