Patients, Carers & Families
If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with brain cancer, there may be opportunities to be involved in research through BrainPOP and our partners.
There are different ways to take part, depending on your situation and what feels right for you.
Clinical trials and personalised medicine
Clinical trials study new treatments and approaches to care. Some patients may also be offered comprehensive tumour profiling to help guide treatment decisions and identify relevant trials.
Donating tumour and other samples for research
With consent, samples such as tumour tissue or blood collected during your care may be used to support future research.
Ask your clinical team to explain what this involves and whether this option is available to you.
Contributing to registries and data-driven research
Some patients may be invited to contribute their clinical information to secure research registries. Participation is voluntary, and your privacy is protected.
Ask your treating doctor about options available close to you.
